County Clerk: Marks and Brands

Welcome to the Collin County Clerk's Marks, Brands and Tattoos Online!

Marks, brands, and tattoos must be registered with the County Clerk in the county in which the animals reside. New brands can be registered at any time. Once registered, all marks, brands and tattoos must be renewed every 10 years. The most recent renewal period began August 31, 2021 and ended February 28, 2022. New brands can be registered at any time.

To register a new mark/brand/tattoo, complete the online application. After you submit your registration you will receive a confirmation email which will consist of the information you entered in the application. Then visit us in our McKinney office located at 2300 Bloomdale Road, Suite 2106. Bring your confirmation email and your valid government issued photo ID. The clerk will verify your mark/brand/tattoo and collect the fee.
